Dr. Anvay Mulay, graduated from Grant Medical College & J.J. Group of Hospitals University of Bombay in 1983. He completed his MS (General Surgery) in 1986. He trained In Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and earned a MCh. from University Mumbai in 1990. As a trainee in practical surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, UK, he specialized in Cardio-thoracic surgery from 1992 to 1996. He was an International Fellow in Cardiac Surgery at the St. Vincent’s Hospital, USA, 1997-98.
Dr. Anvay Mulay has worked at many institutions across the globe such as Leeds General Infirmary, Leeds, UK; Starr-Wood Cardiac Group Plc Providence St Vincent Hospital, USA; Killingbeck Hospital, York Road, Leeds, UK and Bristol Royal Infirmary Bristol, UK. He was the Head of Cardiac surgery at Caribbean Heart Care, WI from 2003-09. His areas of specialization and interest include Heart and Lung Transplant, Pulmonary endarterectomy, Minimally invasive Coronary artery Bypass Surgery and Valve Surgery, Sternal Sparing total arterial bypass grafting, Ascending aorta – Thoraco-abdominal aneurysm surgery, Valve Repairs and Valve sparing operations and was a part of an Open Heart Surgery programs carried out in the interiors of Maharashtra during 2004-2005.
Dr. Mulay is affiliated to Indian Association of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeons, Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland and American Medical Association.
He is an active researcher and has undertaken several clinical research projects. He has authored 4 research articles and several conference publications.
