Dr GC Malakondaiah completed MBBS with 10 gold medals and was the best outgoing student in the batch 1973-74 of SV medical college, Tirupati. His topics of interests are Endo-urology, kidney transplantation and reconstructive urology. He has performed more than 500 kidney transplants independently with good results and minimal complications.
