He completed his MBBS from M.S Ramaiah Medical College, after which he completed his MS (General Surgery) from JSS Medical College. He later went on to complete his MCh in Cardiothoracic Surgery from Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research.
